Today Diana Marsh visited us to talk about her observation and research of Smithsonian's 'Deep Time' exhibit. She explored the friction between research and outreach functions of the museum in the 21st century.
She also shared information about the efforts of the National Museum of Natural History to document their objects in 3D in order to make their collection accessible online. Watch the full video here
Dr. Diana Marsh is currently an Andrew W. Mellon Post-Doctoral Curatorial Fellow at the American Philosophical Society Museum, where she is curating the exhibition, Gathering Voices: Thomas Jefferson and Native America, opening April 16th
